Battery power storage sees sharp increase in Texas

PLANO, Texas — Keeping the lights on in Texas has been the state’s focus since the deadly freeze in 2021.

Since then, companies and Texas’ grid operator, the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), have found renewable routes to make sure Texans don’t stay in the dark.
